MMV intelligent building control
In response to the primary climate change mitigation lever of sobriety, hotel operator MMV has installed intelligent building control systems (PIB) in most of its residences and club villages. 7 buildings have been fitted with these systems, resulting in energy savings of between 5% and 25% over the winter 2023 season. Over winter, nearly 8 tonnes of carbon equivalent were avoided.

Devices to reduce GDP consumption
In 2023, MMV equipped some of its residences with intelligent control devices that detect the opening of windows and/or the presence of occupants in rooms and apartments. In this way, the set temperature is adapted according to whether or not occupants are present in the accommodation. If a window is open, the set temperature is automatically lowered to avoid energy wastage.
Technical Building Management
At the Altaviva residence in Tignes 1800 les Boisses, MMV has gone one step further. In addition to a geothermal-powered boiler, the clubhouse is equipped with a Building Management System (BMS). This system uses software to control all lighting, heating, heating cables and ventilation. In this way, the building manager can program heating and lighting times, and set temperatures according to usage. What's more, everything can be adapted to the different zones of the residence (communal areas, apartments, etc.) in real time.
