In September 2021, Compagnie des Alpes acquires the Evolution 2 brand and takes a 60% majority stake in 10 Evolution2 licensed companies in the Alps, 5 of which are in Group resorts. This acquisition is fully in line with the group's strategic priorities concerning the diversification and development of summer activities in the mountains.
The Evolution2 adventure began in 1987, around outdoor enthusiasts. Thirty years later, more than 500 professionals in the field wear the colours of the brand, maintaining the spirit that has driven it since the beginning, and putting customer satisfaction at the heart of its concerns. The objective: to transmit the passion of the outdoor and to make discover sensations in an exceptional environment.
Summer or winter, Evolution2's activities are based on 4 segments:
- Adventure, by imagining daring sports and tourism experiences in 24 destinations
- Snow sports schools, with more than 15 facilities
- Events, through the organisation of ski competitions, mountain bike rallies, etc.
- MICE, with team building, seminars, evening events and à la carte activities
Recognised for its know-how, Evolution2 opened its training centre in 2019, dedicated to outdoor activities, with recognised professionals and a hands-on teaching approach. Located in Tignes and open all year round, the Pro Outdoor Academy hosts several courses (ski instructor, mid-mountain guide, mountain bike instructor...), designed to accompany trainees on the job market and prepare them to turn their passion into a profession.
The brand also organises the "French Freeride Series", a French competition circuit that qualifies for the Freeride World Tour. In 2022, the Evolution 2 event team has exported its know-how to Georgia to coordinate the setting up of new qualifying competitions for the Freeride World Tour.
