Eco design of the Futuroscope bleachers
As part of the creation of its new night show, the Futuroscope has joined forces with the company Urban'Ext to make all the benches in the lake from recycled material. The 13 km of bench slats were manufactured by transforming food bricks. This innovative process enabled the material from 65 tonnes of waste to be reused.

Polymab® bleachers
The company Urban'Ext (located in Montmorillon in Charente-Maritime, 55 km from the Park) designs, manufactures and markets street furniture made of Polymab. Polymab is a material made from recycled Tetra Pak® food cartons. The plastic film and aluminium from the food cartons (milk, fruit juice, soup, etc.) is used to make granules which are then injected to make furniture and many everyday objects.
An obvious local partnership
When Futuroscope wanted to renovate the bleachers in its outdoor show area, the solution proposed by Urban'Ext seemed obvious. The park had already ordered product prototypes from the company in the past and was therefore aware of the functional qualities of Polymab® as a material for outdoor furniture. The material proved to be compatible with the Futuroscope project in this very central area of the park, which is highly visible to visitors. The equivalent of 65 tons of food bricks were used to cover the new bleachers of the night show La Clé des Songes.
